We’ve had a great experience working with Ben. He’s clearly a talented architect but, for us, his empathy and understanding have been some of the most important factors in this project’s success, as well as his attention to detail.  A couple of the contractors we sent the tender pack to said they’d never seen anything as complete.

He’s designed an amazing scheme that we are super excited about, creating a space that we can use in lots of different ways.

A sense of space has been created at the back of this North London property by lowering the floor both internally and externally. This has created a natural division between the front and rear rooms of the house as well as a sunken pocket of space outside which provides a sociable seating area. An in-built bench connects the kitchen with the garden.

Moodboard of materials for Palace View house renovation including traditional stock brick and wood.

The materials palette references the traditional stock bricks used on the rear of the existing part of the property, but those selected for the extension are deliberately lighter in tone to create a subtle contrast.
